Good to know
Dashboard
The Dashboard provides a real-time overview of activity across your school, including recent parent engagement, notifications, safeguarding alerts and parent queries, helping you quickly identify anything that may require attention.
The Dashboard updates automatically as activity takes place across the platform. If you've been working within the platform for a while, simply refresh the page to display the very latest information.

Pupils
The platform automatically syncs your pupil profiles from your school's MIS via the Wonde connection. This connection is established and approved as part of the initial platform set-up process. Once connected, your pupil data is kept up to date through regular syncs. If new pupils join mid-year, you can run a fresh sync at any time to pull in newly active records.
Yes. Use the search function to quickly locate a pupil and view their profile.
Each pupil profile provides a central record of communication with parents, resources shared, interventions, safeguarding activity (where appropriate), engagement information and a history of actions taken through the platform.
Yes. Staff can send resources and communicate directly with parents from within the pupil profile, helping to keep all communication and support in one place.
Yes. Individual pupil reports can be downloaded directly from the pupil profile.

Parents
Schools control which parents and carers are invited to the platform. Invitations are always sent manually by a school administrator and are never issued automatically. Schools can invite all parents, invite by year group, or invite individual parents, giving full control over who receives access.
Parents access LinkEDtohome through the dedicated parent app, available on iOS and Android. They receive an invitation from their school, which includes a link to download the app and instructions for setting up their account. Parents can only access the platform through a school invitation and cannot self-register.
Parents can access AI-supported guidance through Link, engage with resources and content shared by their school, and communicate directly with school staff through the secure parent-to-school messaging function. The platform is designed to keep parents informed, supported and connected to their child's school in a meaningful way.
Schools can monitor invitation and engagement status through the school portal. If a parent has not accepted their invitation, the platform makes it easy to identify outstanding invitations and follow up where appropriate. There is no obligation on parents to engage and schools remain in control of how they manage participation.

Parent Queries
Parent Queries provide a secure way for parents to contact the school through the platform. They help centralise communication, reducing reliance on individual staff email inboxes and provide greater oversight of parent communication across the school.
Parent Queries ensure communication is not limited to one member of staff's inbox. Appropriate members of staff can monitor conversations, helping maintain continuity during staff absence, reducing duplicated communication and supporting earlier identification of emerging concerns.
Yes. Staff can respond directly to parents through the platform, share resources where appropriate and maintain a complete communication history on the pupil's profile.
Yes. Queries can be updated using statuses such as In Progress and Closed, allowing schools to monitor outstanding communication and maintain a clear audit trail.
A notification indicator appears on the toolbar whenever a new Parent Query is received or when there is a new message within an existing conversation. This helps ensure parent communication is seen promptly and nothing is missed.

Parent Voice
Parent Voice allows schools to view VotesforParents polls created by LinkEDtohome. These polls are designed to gather meaningful feedback from parents on topics affecting children, families and education. Where appropriate, polls may mirror themes explored through VotesforSchools, helping schools gain valuable insight into both parent and pupil perspectives.
Yes. Participation rates and response summaries are displayed, allowing you to monitor parent engagement.
No. Parent Voice polls are created and managed by LinkEDtohome to ensure consistency and enable meaningful comparisons across schools.

Surveys
Surveys allow schools to create their own questionnaires to gather more detailed feedback from parents. Surveys can include a variety of question types, including multiple choice, ratings and written responses, making them suitable for everything from Ofsted-style parent questionnaires to consultation and feedback exercises.
Yes. Schools can choose whether a survey is anonymous or identified. Parents are shown a clear disclaimer before completing the survey so they understand whether their responses will be anonymous.
Yes. Surveys can be created in advance and scheduled to be published at a later date.
Survey results can be viewed as an overall summary or, for identified surveys, by individual respondent. Results can also be downloaded into a spreadsheet for further analysis.

Safeguarding Alerts
Schools can create their own safeguarding alerts to provide timely information and guidance to parents about local concerns, incidents or emerging issues.
Contextual Safeguarding Alerts are created by LinkEDtohome in response to local or national safeguarding concerns. Schools review and approve these alerts before deciding whether they should be sent to parents within their school community.
Yes. Alerts can be created in advance and scheduled to be published at a later date.
Yes. Every alert can be previewed before it is sent to parents.
Yes. Supporting resources can be included to help parents understand the issue and access further guidance.

Resources & Reports

Resources can be shared with a parent of an individual pupil, selected groups, year groups or the whole school, depending on who the information is intended for.
